What exactly is Myofascial Release?
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that helps your body unwind tension stored in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, bone, organ, and nerve.
When fascia tightens from injury, stress, or trauma, it can cause pain and limit movement.
MFR restores natural balance by allowing your body to release those restrictions, safely, gently, and without force.
How is Myofascial Release different from massage or physical therapy?
Unlike traditional massage, Myofascial Release doesn’t use oils, kneading, or quick pressure.
Each technique involves holding gentle, sustained pressure that gives the fascia time to release.
This process affects your body on a deeper level, supporting structural, emotional, and energetic healing all at once.
Massage works on muscles. Myofascial Release works with the body’s intelligence.
Will it hurt?
No, Myofascial Release is never forced or painful.
You may notice warmth, tingling, stretching, or subtle sensations as your body releases tension, but discomfort is rare and temporary.
Your body guides the session, and you are always in control of how deep we go.
How many sessions will I need?
Everybody is unique.
Most clients begin to notice meaningful change within 2–3 sessions.
For long-standing or complex pain, consistent sessions (or a six-hour package) support deeper, lasting results.
Think of it as retraining your body, layer by layer, rather than a one-time fix.
How long is each session?
Each session is 60 minutes of one-on-one therapy time, designed specifically for your body’s needs that day.
If you choose an Immersive or multi-hour format, we’ll include breaks for integration and reflection.
What do I wear to a session?
Please wear comfortable, stretchy clothing (shorts, undergarments, sports bras, bras) that can be easily adjusted or moved aside as needed.
Direct skin-to-skin contact is necessary for Myofascial Release to be effective, as it allows for the slow, sustained engagement with the fascia. No oils or lotions are used, since they prevent the gentle “melting in” that occurs during the 5-minute (or longer) holds that create real change in the tissue.
Do you accept insurance?
FireRainbow Myofascial Release is a cash-based practice.
I do not bill insurance, allowing us to focus fully on your healing process, free from the constraints of time limits and medical codes.
You may use HSA or FSA funds if your provider allows.
Do you offer packages or discounts?
Yes. The Six-Hour Package ($1,300) offers a $200 savings compared to single sessions.
It’s designed to support clients ready for deeper, ongoing work and long-term change.
You can also explore a 6- or 12-hour Immersive for focused transformation over one or two days
What if I’m not sure MFR is right for me?
That’s perfectly okay.
Many clients come to MFR after trying everything else, and they’re often surprised by how gentle yet effective it feels.
If, after 2–3 sessions, you decide it’s not the right fit, you can cancel future appointments (with 48-hour notice).
My goal is your healing, even if it takes a different form.
What if I’m emotional during or after my session?
It’s completely normal. Fascia holds not just physical tension but emotional patterns too.
As restrictions release, stored feelings may surface and move through you.
This is a healthy part of healing, and I’ll guide you through it with compassion and care.
Your body remembers, and it’s safe to let go.
How should I care for myself after a session?
Drink plenty of water, rest when you can, and notice what you feel.
Gentle walking or MFR stretching can help your body integrate the work.
Sometimes mild soreness or emotional awareness arises — this is your system adjusting to new alignment and flow.
How far in advance should I book?
There are 15 appointments available per week, and openings can fill quickly.
Booking ahead ensures you get your preferred times, especially for packages or Immersives.
